What is an oxymel?

Oxymels are brilliant and tasty little medicines for the body. They’re herbal extractions using both apple cider vinegar and honey as solvents to infuse all of your chosen herb(s) medicinal properties into. So not only are you benefiting from the chosen infused herb(s), but the apple cider vinegar (APV) and honey as well. Because ACV is fermented, its quite nourishing to our gut mircrobiome. Its full of good bacteria that help combat any unhealthy bacteria and fungi that cause illness and infection within our bodies. Raw honey is full of various vitamins and minerals, is a good source of anti-oxidants, helping our cells protect and repair themselves from damage caused by free-radicals in the body, and is both anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Like ACV, its also nourishing to our gut due to its pre-biotic properties that complement the probiotic ones in ACV quite nicely. Raw honey can be helpful in lowering inflammation in the body therefore strengthening the body’s defenses in fending off disease and illness. With the added nutritive and medicinal properties of herbs, I find this a powerful remedy for nourishing our body’s physical well being.
